Fracture Proppants

The Company manufactures fracture proppant products through its wholly-owned subsidiaries, Zhengzhou Duesail Fracture Proppant Co.,Ltd and Henan Yuxing Proppant Co., Ltd. Fracture proppants are fine-grade spherical pellets and used by oil and gas companies to squeeze out trapped pockets of oil and natural gas deposits. Gengsheng has been certified as a tier-1 proppant supplier by PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC. Additionally, the products have passed testing conducted by China Petroleum & Chemical Industry Association (CPCIA). |

Refractories

Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Gengsheng Refractories Co., Ltd, located in Gongyi City, Henan province, the Company produces refractory products, which are used to line vessels for heavy industrial production processes as a result of their ability to withstand high temperatures. The Company is a leader in the manufacture of high-quality, customized monolithic refectories, which are replacing traditional, pre-molded brick refractory products in industries such as iron and steel. Functional ceramics

The Company expanded into the functional or industrial ceramics market through the 2002 acquisition of 89.33% of Henan High-Temperature Materials. China Gengsheng’s industrial ceramics product portfolio includes abrasive balls and tiles, valves, electronic and structural ceramics.
China Gengsheng’s industrial ceramics are used as components in products such as fuses, vacuum interrupters, electrical components, mud slurry pumps and high-pressure pumps, which are used in the electric power, electronic components, industrial pumps and metallurgy industries. |

Fine Abrasives

China Gengsheng launched pilot production of its fine precision abrasive products in the fourth quarter of 2009. Fine precision abrasives are ultra-fine grains made from green silicon carbide (SiC), white fused alumina, and blended materials, which are primarily used to polish optical equipment, semiconductors and fine-metal surfaces, including solar equipment. The solar industry is expected to be the most significant end market for fine precision abrasives, as companies use the products for the slicing of silicon bars and polishing of equipment surfaces.
